What it is

One line at the top of the page with a dismiss: a notice, a holiday cut-off, a new collection. (The thin bar above the header is the theme's own; this pattern is the darker bar the app adds.)

When to use it

• The message is short and everyone should see it once.
• You don't want to interrupt - a bar sits above the page, not on it.

Why it works

It is the least intrusive format the app has; the dismiss is remembered for the visit.
